This is where we can talk about our ham radio hobby. Bragging about DX or contest scores is permitted. Who's got the biggest antenna, the most countries worked, or the biggest set of tubes is all open for discussion.
You don't have to be a licensed amateur radio operator to post here. All you need is an interest in the hobby. Ham radio has always been in the business of attracting others - otherwise when we grow old we will find ourselves talking to, um, ourselves.

General Discussion
I put this part of the forum up to discuss whatever people feel like talking about. Local issues, politics, religion, you name it. This is the 21st century version of the soap box or the park bench, whichever. There's only one rule: be courteous and respectful.
I am not going to spend my free time cleaning up after someone else, arbitrating petty disputes, or giving someone a playground on which to bully others. This isn't an open forum, it's invitational. I don't plan on inviting any children so I won't tolerate any adults who act like children.

Off Road Adventure
This is a great place to find local places to go and find someone to make the trip with you. Most off road enthusiasts, even those with lots of experience, prefer to have someone on the trail with them - just in case. Some of the trails that I have been on in the Sonoran Desert can go days without seeing any traffic at all. That's a long time to wait if you're broke down.
Most of the off road people that I have met have been through the various forums. This is one more.
